Alex is an associate in the Commercial Department at Marriott Harrison.
Typically, Alex advises on a broad range of commercial matters across a number of sectors for both B2B and B2C clients. My experience includes advising on and drafting software as a service, manufacturing and supply, distribution, agency and non-disclosure agreements. I also enjoy acting for clients on a variety of intellectual property issues including IP strategy, exploitation and licensing arrangements.
Alex has previously acted as the sole in-house legal counsel for a client, working closely with management on a day-to-day basis to advise on all commercial and IP-related aspects of the business. He, therefore, appreciates the importance of getting to know the people behind a business and its commercial aims in order to give the most practical and tailored advice possible.
Additionally, and given the ever-rising importance of data protection, Alex regularly assists clients with understanding their compliance obligations including, what internal and external measures they should be implemented, what level of financial and reputational risks they face, as well as how to mitigate against those risks in practical terms.
