Cephas has practiced as a Legal Practitioner, Conveyancer and Notary Public since January 2008. Through the years, Cephas has amassed litigation experience in various facets of the law. He has developed a special interest in Labour Law, Civil Litigation and Estate Administration. Before joining the firm, Cephas was an Associate at one of the leading law firms in Zimbabwe namely, Sawyer and Mkushi Legal Practitioners.
Cephas has worked on various published and unpublished articles on Land Reform and Land Transfer in Zimbabwe, in collaboration with Lloyd Mhishi. Cephas is an avid labour law researcher and he runs an online blog entitled ‘labour watch Zimbabwe’ which blog is rich with articles on labour law developments in Zimbabwe. Cephas also contributes articles on the New Perspectives Column in the Zimbabwe Independent newspaper. He is a volunteer facilitator in Labour Law Procedure at Zimbabwe Labour Centre in Harare.
He holds a Certificate of Appreciation in Enabling the Business of Agriculture (2017 Report) from the World Bank and a Certificate of Accreditation in Advanced Criminal Defence Practice from International Bridges to Justice (IBJ). He was once appointed a Disciplinary Hearing Prosecutor for the Ministry of Local Government where he handled cases involving allegations against local authority councilors. Cephas is a member of the Zimbabwe Economics Society and the current Managing Partner of the firm.
