Jeffrey King

Jeffrey joined PKF as an articling student in June 2018 and was called to the Manitoba Bar in June 2019. He has appeared in the Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench General Division, the Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench Small Claims Court, and the Provincial Court of Manitoba.

Coming from a lineage of lawyers, Jeffrey hopes to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, Daniel Abraham Yanofsky, O.C., Q.C., a lawyer, West Kildonan Mayor, Winnipeg Deputy Mayor, and Winnipeg City Councillor, as an active member of the legal profession and the community.

Jeffrey has enduring passions for advocacy and performance, both on the stage and in the courtroom. A professional musician, Jeffrey received his Bachelor of Jazz Studies degree from the University of Manitoba, performed concerts internationally as a jazz drummer and percussionist, and taught more than 500 students of all ages and abilities.

Jeffrey received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Windsor, finishing second in his class. As a law student, he served as a teaching assistant and research assistant to two professors, drafted content for an upcoming law school textbook, and completed a full-time judicial clerkship in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.

From January 2017 to April 2017, Jeffrey served as the judicial law clerk to the Honourable Chief Justice Louise A. Charbonneau of the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories and additionally assisted with proceedings in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon Courts of Appeal. As a clerk, Jeffrey conducted extensive research in a broad range of legal areas, travelled on court circuit to remote communities, and gained insight into the judicial decision-making process at both the trial and appellate court levels.

Outside of work, Jeffrey enjoys playing music, spending time with friends, and volunteering in the community.
