Bruce E. Rende is the Managing Partner at Robb Leonard Mulvihill LLP. He has been with the law firm since 1987. Mr. Rende graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1985 receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, cum laude, in 1988. Since completing law school, he has also participated in additional training through the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Rende has significant litigation experience in the areas of commercial litigation, premises liability litigation, transportation law, product liability litigation, professional liability litigation, extra-contractual insurance litigation, insurance coverage and insurance related litigation.
Mr. Rende has been admitted to practice since 1988 in the Pennsylvania state courts and in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. In 1998 and 1999, Mr. Rende was admitted to practice in West Virginia and Ohio, respectively. He is a frequent lecturer on a variety of topics related to civil litigation including bad faith, insurance coverage and other insurance related subjects. Mr. Rende joins a group of only five percent (5%) of all of the lawyers in Pennsylvania bearing the designation Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. Mr. Rende has also been selected by his peers to serve as a Fellow in the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and to appear in The Best Lawyers in America for his work regarding Commercial Litigation and Insurance Law.
Mr. Rende has been active in the Allegheny County Bar Association. He was honored to be selected to serve as Chair of the Bench Bar Conference Committee in 2001. He had previously served as Vice-Chair of the Committee. He also currently sits on the Bench Bar Ad Hoc Committee. He is an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association where he currently serves as a Member of the House of Delegates. He is also a Hearing Committee Member serving the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. In addition to his professional associations, Mr. Rende donates his time on behalf of various Not For Profit organizations and was, counsel to the Junior League of Pittsburgh.
