Born and raised in Westmoreland County, Maria focuses her practice on corporate and contract law, civil and orphan’s court litigation, and estate planning and administration. She considers each client’s individual circumstances and works closely with them to provide a solutions and recommendations. Working with both buyers and sellers, Maria guides her clients from inception of a deal until closing, including, but not limited to, negotiating, drafting, and finalizing multiple transaction documents. Maria counsels and advises clients on choice of entity issues and appropriate business structure based upon clients’ needs, including appropriate ownership structure issues and recommendations. Concurrent to her estate practice, she enjoys aiding clients regarding business succession issues and business exit strategy.

Maria regularly advises clients regarding personal estate planning, business succession issues, and draft appropriate documentation to necessitate an exit strategy for closely held businesses. Maria takes pride in advising clients on proper estate plan structure and works together with her clients to draft and finalize, wills, trusts, powers of attorneys, living wills suited for their individual needs. Maria is also available to aid clients with estate administration for both small estates and large estates.

In the local community, Maria serves on multiple non-profit boards across Westmoreland County. She serves as secretary of the Greensburg Hempfield Area Library and recently joined the Ligonier Valley Historical Society. Maria is also a founding board member of the Laurel Ridge Foundation which raises funds for other non-profits within Westmoreland County. For multiple years, Maria has participated in the Visionaries program of the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County.

Maria is a graduate of Washington and Lee School of Law where she was an active member of the Women’s Law Society Organization and Powel Board. She was also lucky enough to be chosen for a human-rights trip to Tanzania during her third year of law school. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Westmoreland Bar Association (Membership Committee).
