Ms. Yang is executive managing partner of Watson and Band Law Offices in Shanghai.
Ms. Yang holds a law degree from East China Politics and Law College and a Foreign Trade English degree from Shanghai University. After passing the Bar Qualification Test in 1990, she has been practicing law as a professional lawyer for 30 years.
Ms. Yang's practices mainly focus on areas including IP, finance, real estate, corporate, investment, covering both contentious and non-contentious matters. She has successfully represented many major domestic and multinational companies in trademark and copyright infringement contentious actions, business trade disputes and contract disputes. Ms. Yang's abundant experience and great skills in litigation are recognized by these clients and have established her reputation as a leading lawyer in this area.
In the meantime, Ms. Yang also has particular expertise in legal consulting and non-contentious legal matter concerning corporate and investment projects, providing services including negotiations and legal consulting. In addition, she acts as the IP advisor for many domestic and foreign companies, providing legal advice related to the filing for patents, trademarks, copyrights and other IP rights, as well as anti-counterfeiting and other enforcement actions for those IP rights.
Ms. Yang is actively engaged in political and social activities and is elected member of Xuhui District Council of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Shanghai. She also wrote for "Shanghai Watch" of the "International Business Law" magazine of Japan and contributed to the "Legal Practice Live Express from Shanghai" column for Japanese website Searchina with a few articles about litigation practices under China's laws.
