Mr. Xiaobo He graduated from Law School of Tongji University with an LLB and an LLM degree. He joined Watson & Band in 2006 and mainly engaged in civil and commercial litigation and arbitration for both domestic and foreign clients.
Mr. He has a profound knowledge of law and is commonly praised for his comprehensive way of thinking, steadfast and precise work attitude, and honesty and open-mindedness. He has long been dedicated to theoretical researches and practical operations of legal issues. His comprehensive, practical and thorough understanding of the legal issues enable him to start from the actual legal effects and optimize the clients’ legitimate interests by a flexible application of both legal and non-legal approaches. He is skilled in designing litigation strategies for difficult and complicated cases and has a strong ability of communication, coordination and negotiation. He is an expert in resolving disputes over corporate and commercial matters, economic contracts, real estates and intellectual property rights. In the civil and commercial law field Mr. He represented Baosteel Group and its subsidiaries to resolve a series of steel trading crisis due to fund rupture of steel dealers and tried his best to reduce the loss of and strive for the interest of client by both contentious and non-contentious ways. He represented Wison Group and handled a series of lawsuits involving financial, construction projects and lease disputes. He also participated in the resolution of a dispute arising from assembled funds trust on behalf of Minmetals International Trust Co., Ltd. He acted on behalf of Oriental Life Insurance Co., Ltd. in handling the dispute over a financial claims assignment contract; he participated in the dispute with a securities company over the liability for securities margins on behalf of the creditor; and he served as a legal counsel for the Shanghai Branch Office of China Ping An Property Insurance Co., Ltd. and assisted in settlement of claims.
In the field of competition law, Mr. He represented Beijing WHI in resolving the dispute involving the enterprise name and the trademark. He represented Bloomberg LLP and Blizzard Entertainment Inc. in unfair competition disputes over infringement of Bloomberg’s professional services and Blizzard’s famous game products. He also represented Momentive in a series of trade secret infringement disputes, and acted on behalf of Wind in the unfair competition dispute involving Wind’s financial information terminal. In all of the said cases, Mr. He successfully enforced the clients’ business reputation and intangible assets. Some of the cases were also selected as Top 10 IP Cases of the Year.
