Mr. Yingcong Xu is a Patent Attorney and deputy general manager of Watson & Band. Mr. Xu received a Master Degree in International Business Law from the University of Hull in England, and a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Shanghai University.
Prior to joining Watson and Band, Mr. Xu worked as an in-house IP attorney in Top 500 companies and Chinese state-run research institute for more than 10 years. He ever worked as Senior IP Counsel in Saint-Gobain Shanghai Research, and served as an IP manager in Shanghai National Technology Transfer Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences. During the period of working in Watson & Band, Mr. Xu was dispatched to extend his IP practice and support Chinese clients in US Law Offices.
Mr. Xu's IP practice covers all aspects of Chinese patent prosecutions and enforcements, including patent portfolio management and procurement, due diligence, technology transferring and licensing, and assisting in pre-litigation and/or litigation enforcement before the Chinese State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) and/or Chinese courts. Mr. Xu also counsels clients on trademark and copyright matters, and assists in providing legal opinions for various IP related issues.
