Since October of this year, Dr. Antje Mattfeld, LL.M, previously a longstanding partner at White & Case, has become a welcome addition to the dynamic and internationally oriented team at Brödermann Jahn in Hamburg. She will continue to work in the core areas of her specialization: transactions, cross-border project management and antitrust.
Antje Mattfeld on her move to Brödermann Jahn: “I have been following Brödermann Jahn since its founding. They have built unique expertise as a boutique firm in international/cross-border consulting. The appeal to me is to work with the very dedicated team at Brödermann Jahn and the interesting task to contribute with my experience to the growth of the firm.”
„We are delighted about the addition of Antje Mattfeld, who early in her career worked with our late senior partner Dr. Erhard Jahn in the Court of Honour. We have worked together for years in international discussion groups. Also, Antje Mattfeld studied in three countries and is a perfect fit for the cosmopolitan mentality and the philosophy of our firm”, expresses founder and co-managing partner Professor Dr. Eckart Brödermann, LL.M.
“I am particularly looking forward to working with Antje Mattfeld in the area of antitrust law, an area which has continually grown in importance to Brödermann Jahn over the years. Her knowledge of procedural law will strengthen our capability spectrum, as well as her comprehensive experience in industries such as IT and Automotive”; states co-managing partner Dr. Philipp von Dietze.
“And,” comments partner Tina Denso, “with Antje Mattfeld joining us, we now have a team of 6 partners, 10 associates and 6 of counsels at a 50:50 female/male ratio on the partner and associate levels.”
About Brödermann Jahn
Brödermann Jahn considers the law as a tool to increase the economic success of the firm’s clients and restore balance to their businesses.
With the help of legal strategy development, case management and modern negotiation techniques, Brödermann Jahn is generally successful in finding solutions which are economically viable and legally sound.
Thereby, the firm economizes time and costs. Even litigation is very often an instrument within the tool-box of general case planning. The attorneys of Brödermann Jahn all love their profession and the legal work connected with it (most of the firm’s attorneys have written at least one legal book). This gives them the enthusiasm and strength the firm needs to make clients’ projects even more successful.
Furthermore, Brödermann Jahn is not only young in spirit and experienced as a “can-do” law firm in fighting to achieve their clients desired objectives in transactions or dispute settlements. The firm also measures up in terms of sophistication and horsepower that they bring on the road to firms much larger than Brödermann Jahn. It is an intricate part of the firm’s philosophy to grow not for growths sake, but so as to remain fiercely competitive where they need to expand while always striving to maintain their internal fabric of friendship, loyalty, mentoring of junior lawyers, as well as fun on the job.
Brödermann Jahn is a member of the International Society of Primerus Law Firms.
